My research focuses on the nutrition and health-promoting properties of plant-based diets, making alternative proteins, particularly plant-based alternative proteins, vital in my endeavours. I am specifically proficient in using in vitro digestion models to predict the bioavailability of nutrients in food, as well as techniques to assess their health-promoting properties. The hope would be that my research would be able to shed light on the comparisons and differences between alternative proteins and traditional animal proteins.
