We seek to understand the biology of adipocyte and myocyte precursor cells from livestock species (mammalian) in order to, among other things, identify molecular markers and signalling pathways that could be targeted to optimise their growth and differentiation in culture. We are also developing novel cell lines with potential for cell agriculture.
