The alternative
protein ecosystem

Hyeong taek Kim

Researcher

My research focuses on advancing cultured meat as a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional meat. This work requires a variety of research, including cell biology, bioprocess engineering, and materials science. To achieve these goals, I seek to collaborate with fellow researchers passionate about innovation in alternative proteins. Together, we can leverage our collective expertise to overcome the technical and economic challenges of cultured meat production. * Key Research Areas: – Cell Line Development: Creating robust, immortalized cell lines for consistent, high-yield production. – Bioreactor Optimization: Designing scalable bioreactors for efficient nutrient delivery and waste removal. – Process Efficiency: Enhancing culture processes to increase cell growth rates while minimizing resource inputs. – Serum-Free Formulations: Developing cost-effective, serum-free media for robust cell growth and differentiation. Let’s collaborate to push the boundaries of alternative protein research and create a sustainable future for food production.
